Don't be so sure... I have a JW wanna-be friend (well, friend when he chooses to grant me pardon) and he bangs on about the internet and how evil it is.
This guy is trying to get back to the hall after having been slung out over 2 years ago and pretty much toes the party line as far as anti internet rhetoric is concerned.
Pathetic really and exhausting trying to explain that the internet is simply a collection of thoughts expressed through a different form of media.
The hypocrisy being - I am asked by this particular person to order stuff and research stuff on a semi-regular basis using the internet.
The only time the internet comes under attack is obvious - when it does not agree with the WTBTS, it then becomes a demonic resource.

Why are men so bad?

why are men responsible for most rapes, paedophilia, pornography, abuse, criminal behaviour, war, bullying etc..?
if women (on average) were as physically strong as men would they be responsible for 50% of the above or is it something to do with men?

As a friend pointed out me, when I lamented the state of the male:
"Women & children stand at the dockyards waving their males away to war; helping to support the war effort"
If women spoke out and said "this war is rotten and I do not approve" - how many men would slaughter other men with their support network crumbling beneath them?

by Terry ini just started doing this (blogging) and it is not unlike writing a diary put into public view.. there a zillions of these things floating around out there.
many are extremely inventive, artistic, interesting and startling.. however, most are utterly inane!.

Proof that the END is NEAR!
by ljwtiamb inevery few years there is some major disaster or world situation that is exploited by the wts and jws to 'prove' that we are in the last days and end is near.. as i grew up there was:the whole cold war and threat of nuclear holocaustwatergateassassination of president kennedymurder of martin luther kingshooting of the pope.
thankfully the news sources are constantly offering up fresh disaster coverage for jws to shove down our throats.
if we are not kept on edge, no one can sell us anything: watchtower & awake!

I think looking into the area of conspiracy to provide objective evidence helps. Alex Jones' Martial Law: 9/11 DVD is superb and even certain members of my family who are your average agnostic, had to agree that the documentary made compelling and startling viewing; my step father asking "what he could do" ... amazing to be honest.
The new world order for me and the move towards creating a "one world" religion is the sign I keep my eyes open for.
I walked home tonight and just felt the spirit of the city. There is so much fear underlying and a certain note of despair within people that to me the signs are tangible.
Whatever you believe, whether that be "the return of Christ" or the end of this current wave of evolution, it has to be admitted that these are remarkable times to witness.
The rise of science/technology and the debunking of God within the media (for the most part) for me is another sign.
As are the topsy-turvey moral standards.
Not to mention (oh, I just have) the ridicule levelled at those of us who have had mystical experiences.
To me, it all adds up. I could go on, but won't.
Call me a looney now please, I love to be punished for my sins.
